Tropical Floral Centerpieces

By using tropical floral centerpieces you can give your reception a burst of color and instantly give the feeling of a magical celebration. Types of Tropical Flowers

The types of flowers that are usually associated with a tropical wedding include: cymbidium orchids, Dendrobium (Singapore orchids), anthuriums, ginger and palm leaves.

A simple type of tropical floral arrangement that works well is to use floating flowers. For this you could use cymbidium or Singapore orchids. This is a very popular type of decoration in South East Asia. Cymbidium orchids come in a variety of colors including white, pink, golden yellow and lime green. By combining these together you can create a lovely colourful decoration.

Beach and Tropical Theme Wedding Decorations

If you're having a beach wedding, you can incorporate this theme into your centerpieces. Place your chosen flowers into a vase and stand the vase on a tray containing sand. On the sand you can place some starfish and seashells.

Add Style to Your Tropical Centerpieces

Another idea for your centerpiece would be to use a pineapple as the center of your decoration and then place flowers in a tight ring shape around the outside of it. There will be no doubt in the minds of your guests that this is a tropical themed wedding centerpiece.

If you prefer simple elegance in your styling, chose to have a mass of just one type of flower. This can look spectacular if you choose the right type of flower. It is popular style with many of the top designer florists in London and Paris and you can adopt the technique as well for your wedding. Singapore orchids can work very well when used in tropical floral centerpieces by themselves. They are available in white, lime green and mauve varieties.
