Seashell wedding centerpieces are one of the best table decorations for a beach theme marriage. There is something a little magical about their natural beauty that everyone seems to like.
Wedding Centerpiece Ideas
You can make your centerpieces by simply placing the seashells in an attractive vase or container. This is very simple and quick to do.
Another idea is to have floating candles in cylindrical vases filled with water and then small seashells are used to decorate the bottom of the vase.
You could also use a candle in an alternative way. Buy some large candles (church candles) and place them on a plate charger or table mirror. Then surround the candle with a little bit of sand and place three large specimen seashells around the base. Nautilus, Conch and Scallop shells work well. This will look very elegant and stylish.
Where To Buy Your Seashells
You can obtain seashells from a variety of outlets. If you're lucky enough to live by the sea you can go beachcombing and get your shells fro free. But there are also other outlets for you to try.
One of the best if you are on budget, is to search through eBay. There is a phenomenal quantity and range of seashells there that you can use in your centerpieces. There are also a number of online retailers. Some of the craft and floristry suppliers are also able to supply bags of small shells.
If you are buying off of the Internet try to get a good idea of the size of your shells before placing your order. This will affect the look and feel of your finished seashell wedding centerpieces.
