How to Make Table Centrepieces

By learning to make your table centerpieces, you can save yourself money on your wedding preparations. Here are a number of ideas that will allow you to make some stunning centrepieces that will grace any table.

Calla lilies can look absolutely stunning by themselves. They can be used to create an elegant table centrepiece. Calculate the number of stems that you will need for each arrangement. Five is a good number although you could use 3 or 7 depending on budget. Simply tie the stems together and place in tall case. You can add some foliage if you like but these flowers do not really need it.

Another idea to make your table centrepieces is to use a lantern. Choose a candle lantern from a household goods store.Decorate the table around it with rose petals to give a sense of occasion. This centrepiece is quick to prepare and will look great.

Instead of spending ages arranging flowers for each centrepiece, why not buy a plant? You could get some beautiful Phalaenopsis orchids, which are commonly available in white or pink.

If you're getting married in the winter, potted poinsettias are widely available. These are commonly red but you can also get white varieties.

Decorate the pot with colored bows and the effect will be quite stunning. You can also give the plants away at the end of the evening to friends and family.

A floating centrepiece can look very impressive. Get some glass bowls that are suitable for use with floating candles.Chose your candles and make them appropriate to your theme. There are heart-shaped candles and all sorts of different colors.

If you are having a fall wedding, there are also leaf-shaped candles available. In addition to the floating candles you can also float flowerheads as well. Roses, gerberas, and orchids can be used for this.

You should bear in mind the time that it takes to make table centrepieces and place them on the tables. If you have a florist he or she will take care of this. If you are doing them yourself, you will be responsible.
