The most popular choice for wedding centrepieces is to use flowers. These look graceful and elegant, and always impress guests. To keep the costs down, choose flowers that are in season and are relatively inexpensive.
Chrysanthemums and gerberas will work out less expensive then roses and orchids. Gerberas were used in the photo above. If you're having a spring wedding, choose classic spring flowers like tulips.
If your budget doesn't run to flowers you can have balloon centerpieces. These are colored helium balloons that can be decorated to match your wedding theme. Weights fixed to the bottom of the balloons stop them from flying away. You can either buy a helium balloon kit yourself, or have a party organiser arrange them for you.
Instead of flowers you could put a potted plant in the center of each table. Wrap the pot in organza and colored ribbon to match your wedding colors. This is both quick and easy. You can easily obtain plants from your local nursery or plant store. Buy them in advance so that you know that they have sufficient in stock for you.
An arrangement of different sized candles can make a stunning table arrangement. You can place them on a circular mirror and decorate around the base with flower petals. This is an inexpensive centerpiece idea that looks a million dollars.

Alternatively you could use different sized vases with a floating candle in each, as shown in the photo above. The vases contain submerged orchids.
